This Chinese tile-collecting game is great fun and played with that in mind. Instead of suits of spades, diamonds, etc., bamboo, characters, circles, winds and dragons are collected in threes (pungs) and fours (kongs). A completed set of twelve tiles constitutes “mahjongg” and a score is worked out according to the value of the collection.
