This Chinese tile-collecting game is great fun and played with that in mind. Instead of suits of spades, diamonds, etc., bamboo, characters, circles, winds and dragons are collected in threes (pungs) and fours (kongs). A completed set of twelve tiles constitutes “mahjongg” and a score is worked out according to the value of the collection. The group is well established and soon will be tackling other ways of collecting which is more risky but also more exciting. Please let Celia know if you are interested in joining the waiting list.
